NUT02 Sports Nutrition
Hello and welcome to the course Sports Nutrition! I am very excited that you are here, and I hope that, together, we can have some fun and learn a lot about Sports Nutrition.
This course will provide you with fundamental knowledge about human physiology, what happens to our bodies when we exercise and how what we eat impacts us throughout our lives. We will take a look at how our needs vary, depending on our level of activity, age and gender but also over time from when we start exercising until several hours after we have ended a workout.
Ideally, you already have a good grip on the fundamentals of nutrition before you start this course. You can test if this is the case by taking the quiz called ”The Basics of Food and Nutrition Final Quiz”. If you score at least 60%, I am pretty confident that you will be able to successfully complete this course with some research of your own, if you get stuck.
There are many reasons for wanting to take the course. Maybe you are just curious about food and nutrition or possibly, you would like to have more tools to make well-informed decisions on what you are eating.
No matter what your motivation is, it is always a thing to be more informed on the things that you regularly do and that have an impact on your health and well-being.
