NUT02 Sports Nutrition
Hello and welcome to the Sports Nutrition course! I am very excited that you are here. I hope that we can have some fun and that I can help you learn a lot about Sports Nutrition.
This course will provide you with fundamental knowledge about human physiology, what happens to our bodies when we exercise, and how our food impacts us throughout our lives. We will examine how our needs vary depending on our level of activity, age, and gender, as well as over time, from when we start exercising until several hours after we have ended a workout.
Ideally, you already have a good grip on nutrition fundamentals before starting this course. You can test if this is the case by taking the quiz called ”The Basics of Food and Nutrition Final Quiz”. If you complete the quiz with at least a 60%, I am confident you can complete this course.
There are many reasons to take the Sports Nutrition course. Maybe you are just curious about how food and nutrition impact your athletic abilities, or perhaps you just want to have more tools to make well-informed decisions about what you eat.
No matter what your motivation is, it is always a good idea to be more informed about the things that you regularly do and how they impact your health and well-being.
